  They are manufactured in a durable plastic container with a water resistant fan for unexpected rain storms. The brackets are made from steel to avoid bending or breaking and the collection containers are built with stainless steel mesh and edged with silicone to avoid rust and accidental scratching during collection, while also resisting cracking when frozen. 

 This trap does not come with a battery.  One twelve volt battery or two six volt batteries in series can be used as a power pack, creating a flexible option for the power supply.
